Albanvale is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 19 km west from Melbourne’s central business district. Its Local Government Area is the City of Brimbank. At the 2006 Census, Albanvale had a population of 5576.
The border of Albanvale consists of Station Road, Main Road West, Kororoit Creek, Fairfax Circuit, Concord Circuit and Brimbank Shopping Centre. The 2009 edition of the Melway road map clearly marks Brimbank Central Shopping Centre in Deer Park. The suburb was established in the 1970s.
Albanvale is a small residential suburb located between the Kororoit Creek and Station Rd in Melbourne's outer west. Albanvale experienced rapid growth during the 1980s and has developed into a multicultural community. About 60% of the population speak a language other than English at home. The suburb has a high proportion of families in its population with larger households. The Brimbank Central Shopping Centre is the focal point for commercial activity.
